How to Save the world ?

What it takes for an individual person to
  • Save the polar ice caps from melting?
  • Save the low lying islands from drowning into the sea?
  • Avoid Delhi air pollution kind of problems?
  • Avoid any other environmental problems?

The simple way is, check your daily usage of things. If there is a repeating
Take-Use- Throw kind of items, rethink. Find alternatives and avoid throwing the same.

Here is an experiment/story from my side.

Each day, whenever I need to take a coffee/tea/water - I used to simply reach the stack of this paper cup, take one, use and throw it in the bin.

A simple happy life right?

One fine day, from the nearby mall, bought this cup and decided to use it for my daily purpose.

Yes, a buy one - get one offer, typical Indian mentality.

Each day

  • A couple of Tea/Coffee
  • A good amount of water (same old take2 lit of water and its good for eyes whatsup forward )

No. These 7 cups won't save polar ice caps - As of now.

End of the week, this is what we got. A small stack of paper cups saved by a single porcelain cup.

After four weeks - End of the month.

Let us stack it and make a tower now.

Really, we are not making tower but throwing it here. Now, daily somebody picks these items, dumping somewhere on the planet.

We never know
What kind of disposal methods they are using.

           Where they are disposing etc

Now - few points to think. The raw materials to manufacture these cups, energy we spend on transportation from manufacturing unit to your place, human and other types of resources, disposing of the same, etc.

Want to save the world? Come and take the remaining cup from me and start using (Of course, you need to pay for the same)

The begining

Before going into the story, some FAQs

  1. What is this unbelievable journey?
    1. One husband and wife decided to raise their little son using the Govt School and this blog talks about that journey.
  2.  Why it is an unbelievable journey?
In Tamilnadu, almost 99% of Govt school teachers children studying in private schools. I am not blaming them but this data shows that there is a lack of confident on govt facility.

Almost whole Tamilnadu lost confidence in the govt schools. I can see the village roads are filled with yellow color buses both in the morning and evening. I could see children who hurry to catch those buses in the morning and return back with tired body and mind in the evening to their houses, though the govt school is in front of their house.

I could see only who unable to afford private school fees putting their children in govt school. The girl from the same house will study in govt school but the boy will be in the private school.

Since the whole Tamilnadu believes that students from govt school cannot reach high levels and our dream is directly diagonal to that belief, I am calling this an unbelievable journey.
      3.Do you have a map?
    1. No. We have only mindful of dreams with an energetic team. We don't know that magic success formula or the route.
    4. Really, an energetic team?

Yes. The team consists of three people.

              1. A crazy engineer who completed Chemical Technology but working as a Software Engineer, Karthikeyan Varadarajan

             2. An energetic and clear kid, who is doing his 9th Standard at Agaram Higher Secondary School.

            3. The Queen, who manages both the above, working as a maths teacher in the same school.

     5. Great. Your team is small, doesn't have a map and staying remotely but wants to reach some heights?

Yes. I am staying in Bangalore because of my work. We are working on week ends. Though the direct team is small, there is a very big indirect team. I am collecting materials from many other different places. Youtube channels, education sites and contacting different teachers and friends.
